Alert! Alert! There are some steals to be found in FabFive this week with some starters and talented players back in the saddle after missing the start of the season. Finding players with huge upsides in Ranges 1 and 2 will typically be a difficult task, but not so in Round 6.
Where there are always difficulties will be the highest ranges. Choosing the players from these ranges is like splitting hairs. Choose carefully and trust your gut. And like always, follow the news and the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague injury reports. An injury to any key player on almost any team could open a door for another player to step through, so remain flexible until all of your players' games have tipped off.
With that in mind, here are our early suggestions for Round 6...
Range 1 (0 to 3.99) – An All-EuroLeague center in Range 1? Nikola Milutinov will hardly last long there. The CSKA big man missed the start of the season after testing positive for COVID-19. He returned to play limited minutes in Round 4 and started for the first time with CSKA in Round 5. With more minutes this week, Milutinov could be in for a much bigger scoring output.
Range 2 (4 to 7.99) – Vanja Marinkovic also missed the start of the season and made his first start last week. However, he played a major role in the Valencia attack, which he co-led with 16 points in a road win at Zalgiris Kaunas. Firmly entrenched as his team's starting shooting guard, enjoy Marinkovic in Range 2 because it won't last long.
Range 3 (8 to 11.99) – It hasn't been a great start to the season for Real Madrid, but Los Blancos are eager to turn things around and one of the players they can lean on is Facu Camapazzo. The starting point guard's shooting numbers have been down, but he is still shooting often enough and led Real with 15 points over the weekend in the Spanish League.
Range 4 (12 to 14.99) – He scored 19 points in his last home game and is shooting 83.3% this season ay Menora Mivtachim Arena. It won't be easy for Ante Zizic against Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul's strong frontline, but the Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv big man is eager to be challenged and could put together a memorable game in Round 6.
Range 5 (15.0 or higher) – The league-leader in scoring going up against one of the competition's best scorers? You can't go wrong this week with either Jordan Loyd or Alexey Shved. Three times has a player scored 30 points this season. Loyd has done so twice in his four games. Shved did it in his only appearance.
Good luck in Round 6!
